The Silk Road… is one of the world’s oldest and historic trade routes that expanded through China, Central Asia and the West. This amazing journey encompassed many paths where the exchange of artisan wares and cultural ideas took place, influencing the development of civilization and fostering the spread of Buddhism in this vast desert area.
Just as the Silk Road took travelers on a pilgrimage, we too invited guests on a transporting journey, exploring the eclectic visual, sensory and culinary flavors of the distant lands of Morocco, Turkey, Hong Kong and Tibet.

Event:In a spectacular landmark venue with three different rooms, Connections Unlimited created a transporting journey along the Silk Road exploring the fabric of our lives and the cultures of the world.
A dramatic tent, draped overhead, set the scene for our enchanting Middle Eastern experience. A seductive harem lounge was created below with an eclectic blend of authentic Moroccan ottoman, tables, pillows and table top accents and was bathed in a luminous pink glow.
Under this canopy, guests dined at brass tables that featured Moroccan cigars and kebabs with assorted dips throughout the cozy clusters.
The space surrounding the central tent, was designed to represent a Turkish Bazaar and showcased exquisite authentic fabrics, pottery, hookah pipes and more, setting the backdrop for bountiful buffets fused with Middle Eastern accents.
For a quieter environment, guests were also invited to enjoy food and spirits at tables peppered around a 25ft lantern tree in our Asian bar or visit the Tibetan Lounge with a Giant Buddha serving as the centerpiece.
When not dining and dancing to the captivating music provided by a spirited DJ, the journey continued with entertainment by exotic belly dancers amidst clouds of incense, intriguing tea leaf readers, tribal beats of ethnic drums, silk painting activities and special massage therapists.

This festive event celebrated varied cultures along the Silk Road giving guests dramatic environmental settings and an engaging cultural experience they will not forget.
